We Recommend

The Costa Ludus sights were designed with direction from Chris Costa, based on his extensive background with the United States Coast Guard and as a firearms instructor. These sights have several unique features that set them apart from other Night Fision sights. Most notably, there are serrations on the front and rear sights to reduce glare. There are also serrations on the front edge of the rear sight to maximize one-handed manipulation. Costa Ludus sights include a proprietary Night Fision Perfect Dot® in the front sight and a horizontal tritium bar in the rear sight. The tritium bar gives the shooter a clear distinction between the front and rear sights in low light conditions. The rear sight is also cut to maximize the target picture for fast acquisition.

These offer an extreme low profile co-witness. They are recommended for use with a Holosun c-series or Trijicon RMR Type 2 mini-red dot optic. It is highly recommended you compare the blade height with your optic housing height to ensure where they fall in your window.

You can’t use these sights at all with a rmr. You try and use them the sights get covered by the rmr body.

Thanks for your comment. These sights are desiged to provide an extremely low co-witness. They may not make it over the battery housing of an optic that is mounted higher on slide than a direct milling. Please be sure to measure the height over topstrap to confirm the blade height will sit proud of the battery housing.

These sights are excellent. I have them installed on my G45. This is my primary duty firearm. In particular, the front and rear tritium design is simple yet intuitive for night fire. I only wish they were available for other makes and models.

These sights are spectacular. I love their function and brightness (of course, Night Fision is amazing). Would love to see Suppressor Height version and G43 versions in the future. Another great product. Keep up the innovation and I’ll keep buying.

Like the concept and wanted to love these sights but while hey are ok at night, could be brighter, the front sight is awesome for the day but the horizontal line is useless during the day and its effectively a blackout rear sights. My fault for thinking otherwise.

I really liked these until I mounted an rmr. These are not visible at all in either the MOS version or non MOS when an optic is installed. Costa posted a video saying they would be visible but not cowitness, which sounded perfect. I found out the hard way that they’re not. And you can’t return sights that have been installed.

We are sorry for your disappointment! The Costa Series is meant to be a backup sight system with red dots but not to provide a cowitness. Perhaps our Stealth Series, which provides a lower 1/3 cowitness would be better? Thanks for posting this message, hopefully we can provide the best solution for your preference.

I’m really liking these sights, I’ve always preferred blacked out rear sights but found in low light and no light scenarios that some type of dot is a massive boost. I out these on my CC Glock 19 and am happy even though I didn’t realize they were a tad taller than the AmeriGlos I ran before these. It just took some practice to adjust.

Bought these after taking a costa ludus 3 day class. Shoots 2in low at 7.5 – 25 yards even on a bench rest set up and low quality front sight screws. Front sight has to be held up higher and front sight screw broke apart when removing the sight, no lock tight was used installing the sight but the screw head came off with a perfect circle hole customer service offered a new screw and said sorry that im shooting low and that the costa sights will be an inch or 2 off factory glock sights at 10 – 25 yards. No mention of this in the description.

We’re sorry for your disappointment! These are designed to be a close range sight system as was requested by Chris Costa. We will do our best to update product descriptions so as not to mislead valued customers like yourself. Thank you for this feedback.
